To mark World Heart Day, Fundashon Mariadal organized a successful open house this morning at the hospital’s main entrance. With interactive activities, personalized advice, and plenty of interest from residents and staff, the morning focused entirely on heart health, prevention, and awareness.

Visitors could have their blood pressure and weight checked, after which they received immediate personalized advice from nurses. Cardiologists and dietitians were also present to answer questions about lifestyle, nutrition, and risk factors. A health quiz was also organized, covering resuscitation, exercise, and cardiovascular risks.

The quiz was enthusiastically completed by participants of all ages. A winner was selected from the entries and has since been notified by phone. The prize – a symbolic gesture encouraging health awareness – will be presented soon.

This public activity aligns with Fundashon Mariadal’s mission to not only provide medical care but also actively contribute to a healthy, conscious community on Bonaire. Prevention and education are just as important as treatment. The organization operates based on its core values of love, innovation, professionalism, and service, with a care vision that is nurse-driven, value-driven, and data-driven.

Fundashon Mariadal thanks all visitors and staff for their involvement and looks forward to new moments where care, community, and awareness converge.
